submissions

Would you like to get your story or essay published by Antiquated Brain? Well, don’t be shy. Paste your manuscript into the “Message” field and see what happens. While you’re at it, introduce yourself and let me know where you’ve been published, if anywhere.

*Submissions should be 2,000-3,000 words, or less if mostly dialogue.

-A single submission may contain a single story or essay of this length, or multiple shorter pieces which add up to it.

*Reprints are fine, as long as you have the rights to do so.

*This is not a monthly magazine. Accepted stories/essays will be available for purchase until either party backs out of the contract.

*Author royalties are 10% of revenue from physical copies, excluding shipping and tax; and 50% of revenue from digital, excluding tax.

*Contract is non-exclusive. Authors retain ownership of their work, and may back out of contract at any time.

*Stories generated in whole or in part by AI will not be considered.

*Please hold off on sending in a second submission until you have heard back from me about the first.

*Simultaneous submissions (to me and to another publication) are fine with me, but please send an email to antiquatedbrain@gmail.com to let me know if your story is no longer available for publishing.

*The subject/genre of your story/essay can be anything, really. The only theme here is that the stuff is short and readable.

Thanks for reading,

Danny
